All students registered with Frederick University are eligible to apply, but priority will be given to newcomers registered for full-time undergraduate programs of study. Only students that are provided with an offer can apply.
New, undergraduate, full-time students have priority for securing accommodation in the University-managed Student Halls. If you are a postgraduate or Erasmus student, please contact the Accommodation Office to explore if there are available studios. In case there is no availability, the Accommodation Officer will provide you with private housing options.
Deposit
Upon reserving accommodation and the signing of the contract, you will need to pay a deposit of €1000 and the first installment. The above-mentioned deposit is retained until the expiration of the contract and until the delivery of the studio. On the day of the return of the studio, an Administration Officer will inspect the studio in order to determine that it is returned in the same condition in which it was received on the day of the move in.
Students that paid the deposit but did not manage to meet the conditions of the offer given by the University will be fully reimbursed.
Costs of repairing any damages to the studio and its equipment and/or furnishings (beyond fair wear and tear), will be deducted from the deposit.
Payment of Installments
Payments are done in three equal installments payable on:

Attention: When a payment is submitted, either through bank transfer or JCCSmart, in the “Details” field the following information must be included:

There is a ‘no pets policy’ in the student’s halls due to safety and hygiene reasons. This includes animals, birds, fish or other types of creatures. Service/therapy animals may be allowed given that this is submitted and approved to the Student Counselling Center.
Bicycle Racks and Motorcycle Bays are available free of charge. Scooters are not allowed indoors for safety reasons. However, charging stations with keys are available outside the premises for scooter users.
Mail will be delivered to Reception. You will get a notification for collection.
Ensuring the safety of our students is our top priority. Our student halls are equipped with electronic key access, surveillance systems, and a 24-hour emergency phone number for immediate assistance. Additionally, all student residents are expected to adhere to our Safety Rules to maintain a secure living environment.
Access is available 24/7 through an electronic access control system, ensuring residents can enter and exit the premises at any time.
You must contact the Accommodation Office at studenthalls@frederick.ac.cy in order to arrange the move-in date and time when an Accommodation Officer will be available.
In case you miss the application deadline, please contact the Accommodation Office to explore if there are available rooms. In case there are not any rooms available, the Accommodation Officer will provide you with private housing options.
While late check-ins or early move-outs are possible, there are no refunds for early move-outs as the booking term is fixed for 50 weeks starting from the last Monday of August, as per the Terms and Conditions of your contract. Any weeks after the standard start of the term and before the booking will be deducted from the requested payment.

There is a strict ‘no smoking policy’ in all indoor areas of the Halls and all University Buildings. The use of e-cigarettes and vaping is also not permitted and violators will be fined and prosecuted.

Overnight stays of guests are allowed as long as they do not exceed two (2) days per week. If you intend to host a guest for more than two (2) days a week, such as a visit from a relative from abroad, you must inform the Accommodations Office and obtain the necessary permission. Your guests must adhere to the residence rules.
Residents have wired as well as Wi-Fi internet access in the rooms as well as Wi-Fi in all common areas.
No, you can use your room for the 50-week duration of the contract. The University may issue a request for vacating rooms during the breaks to accommodate visitors but this is up to you whether you wish to accept. In this case, the corresponding retn will be deducted.
